Observatory on Dante Studies

course

The Department of Italian Language and Culture offers the course Dante’s Afterlives: testi e ricezione, entirely dedicated to the Medieval Author and the reception of the Comedy.
Through the close reading of the text, the seminars intend to critically interpret this masterpiece, and to reflect upon its relation with the visual and performing arts, as well as popular culture.

The next course will start in November 2023; and if, in the meantime, you have any questions, feel free to contact us.

Please, note: this course is part of the Luistertaal offer. This means that, in order to follow it, a passive knowledge of Italian is enough; while you will be allowed to read the related literature and to write all your assignments either in Dutch or in English.
Moreover, if you are an exchange student, you are allowed to choose an early exit option.
